Lunds Akademiska Kör

Lunds Akademiska Kör (”The Academic Choir of Lund”), is a young choir with a long tradition and high ambitions. The choir was founded in 1927 as a women’s choir but later became a mixed choir in order to extend its repertoire. The singers in the choir are mostly students and Ph.D. students with a great interest in music.

The choir gives about a dozen public performances each year, and also participates in cermonies at Lund University. The repertoire is varied, but the focus is on classical a capella music for choir.
